Department for Magic, Design and Communication. PDF Print E-mail

Welcome to the black-hole of Arcanorium.
Don’t enter unless you think, that you can turn your computer into a servitor, a mediator between you and the collective mind and a magical vortex in it’s own right.
If you can or at least pretend you can, put on your chaos- babushka, fasten your seatbelt and prepare for the worst.
This trip is going to be shaky and you will end up in a magical think tank on the horizon, dedicated to some creative magic in action and the following keywords: Ritual design, mental magic, imagination, creation and creativity, play, expression, experiment, freeware, mind hacking, digital visualization, sound, brainwaves, visual perception.

And anything else that jumps up in the unpredictable process in that kind of enterprise.

You don’t have a chaos-babushka? You don’t know what it is? Well enter anyway. You will find out soon enough.

What further goals do we have here, other then meet in a think tank and explode our heads with creativity, possibilities and possible challenges as usual? Get also practical as much as we can. To write instructions for a ritual is one way, it is yet another to translate a ritual into a form that can serve as guided visualization or pathwork.  With a bit of multimedia we stretch both possibilities into a new form.A new form that has a lot of possibilities: It not only serves us to communicate our rituals to each other in a more animated way, enhance our websites with something for the visitor to do and experiment with, it can also turn into an magical art of it’s own right, even inviting cooperation of people, combining various talents. Above all, this form can also serve as excellent base for virtual rituals of a group of people making them independent from location. Despite the practical part the course is also designed in a way, that people who have no intention to take part in the practical aspect all the way, can still join. After all ritual design is an interesting subject in itself.

The course serves as frame for the think tank.

The course provides some concrete examples, so all will have some idea in which direction we go as far as result gets concerned. Each week provides a task to reach a similar result in steps, however filled with your own idea’s, content and creativity. We have collected enough freeware, to make that possible for everybody.

The practical part will provide enough basic computer knowledge, tips and links to help beginners on their way.Even the absolute beginner. Feel free to ask any questions in the forum. The forum also serves as platform for the more experienced user to exchange their technical knowledge and help the newbies.

Above all, we will explore the creative possibilities of technology to bring our rituals into the new form. With those anybody can be creative in some way. Who does what and how? Everybody is invited to shine with their creative abilities and teach others.

The theoretical part will provide some ideas, articles and exercises that might be of help and inspiration in our ritual design, get the think tank going and raise our creative flow and ritual awareness.

Course two will pick up, where the first left, by now we should all be enthusiast ritual designers in some way and produce more then one ritual. We will also focus on designing rituals for others and exploring various ways to publish our rituals in another form then a website and ways to get them even more animated.

About Isis:

Isis discovered her affinity with Chaos Magick, after she decided to leave her professional carrier behind to find new horizons and dedicate some of her time to process directed digital art and photography.
Her unique view of magic has not formed as result of a specific school or direction, nor has it ever concentrated on one particular belief system, still she found in Chaos Magick a frame that melted effortless with adding the final missing link - the probability of magic.

In her approach to magic, she mostly feels dedicated to research the human potential and methods to unleash it.

Isis started her professional life with art school, but ended up working for 20 years fulltime as mental coach and therapist with a very individual approach dedicated to the goal of individuation , integrating a divers set of tools in her work.
She has trained other therapists 4 years of that time, took many master classes herself and after that has given a long row of  different workshops related to shamanism, mental and psychic development.
She also served many people in the corporate world as mental coach.
Now she does a live experiment involving a gallery, ateliers for 8 artists and soon a shop for young designers.
